What NoRotZone Actually Measures

NoRotZone games are training tools, not diagnostic tools. They're built on real cognitive science paradigms, and your scores are real. But a 60-second browser game can't replace a licensed clinical assessment, and it was never trying to.

A few things worth knowing

Not a medical or psychological evaluation.

Nothing on this site diagnoses ADHD, cognitive decline, dementia risk, or any other condition. If you have real concerns about your cognitive health, talk to a doctor — not a leaderboard.

One session isn't your ceiling or your floor.

Sleep, caffeine, stress, and just having a bad day can swing your score noticeably. Judge trends over weeks, not a single round.

Your setup affects your score.

A laptop trackpad and a gaming mouse don't measure reaction time the same way. We don't pretend otherwise.

Getting better at the game isn't the same as getting better at the skill — at first.

Familiarity with a specific mechanic improves scores on its own. That's normal, and it's part of why we vary difficulty and design games around genuine cognitive load, not just memorized patterns.

We're not selling certainty.

Where the science is well-established, we say so. Where it's an emerging or contested finding, we say that too. See each Science Hub article for the specific evidence behind it.

NoRotZone exists because thinking clearly matters, and understanding your own mind shouldn't require a lab coat. Just don't mistake a Brain Health Score for a doctor's note.
